Hire terms
1. The hire
These terms apply to every hire from Sydney Tool Bar Pty Ltd ("we", "us"). The hire period runs from the start date to the return date shown on your booking. A day is the business day of collection or delivery; equipment is due back by close of business on the return date unless agreed otherwise.
2. Price & payment
All prices include GST. Online bookings are paid in full when you book. Weekly and monthly rates are applied automatically where they are cheaper. Late returns are charged at the daily rate for each extra day. Fuel used, cleaning of excessively dirty equipment and consumables (blades, bits, sandpaper) may be charged on return.
3. Your responsibilities
You must use the equipment safely, for its intended purpose, in line with the operator instructions, and hold any licence, ticket or training the equipment requires. You must not sub-hire or move the equipment from the delivery address without our permission, and you must keep it secure.
4. Damage, loss & damage waiver
You are responsible for loss of or damage to the equipment while it is in your care, other than fair wear and tear. If you take the damage waiver (8% of the hire charge), your liability for accidental damage is reduced to an excess of the lesser of the repair cost or 20% of the replacement value. The waiver does not cover theft without a police report, wilful misuse, overloading, or damage while used contrary to these terms.
5. Faults & breakdowns
Stop using equipment that is faulty and call us on 0403 657 540. We will repair or replace it as quickly as possible and adjust the hire charge for downtime caused by a genuine fault.
6. Cancellations & changes
Cancel more than 24 hours before the start of your hire for a full refund. Later cancellations may incur a one-day hire charge and any delivery costs already incurred. Changes are subject to availability.
7. Delivery & collection
We deliver to the address you give us within the chosen window. Someone must be on site or you must give safe instructions for leaving the equipment. Equipment must be accessible, clean and ready for collection on the return date.
8. Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded.
